What do you think of Maine Coon cats?

Is it me or are these cats extremely loving and great hunters?

3. Awesome, wonderful, fun, energetic cats. I have three cats who I am positive all have atleast 1/3 maine coon in them. Apparently they're are more dog-like, in the sense that they are loyal, smarter, more playful, and come when you call them if you get them from a young age. They're wonderful except for the long, shedding hair. The long hair is a b*tch...but other than that they're great.

8. I had a Mainey for years. They're friendly and playful and very smart hunters. They're also very furry, they shed like crazy. They live longer than most pure breeds too, like 16-22 years.
9. I have a five yr. old male maine coon and he is wonderful. He will wait until the other six cats have eaten before he eats, and is extremely patient with them. Surprising when you consider he is twice as large as the biggest of the others. Friendly, loving, but I must confess, also a little goofy.
