Do you find this movie scene scary/creepy?

INT. A COUPLE'S HOUSE -- NIGHT TOM sits on a couch stroking their black housecat. It is purring softly. TINA, Tom's wife, walks into the room. They are both twentyish. (Brief dialogue scene here...it's too long to actually write) There is a pause in the conversation. Suddenly, a cat that appears to be the exact duplicate of the cat in Tom's arms walks into the room. This is their REAL cat. The couple stare at it blankly, and then the cat Tom is petting springs from his grasp, and runs shrieking from the room on its hind legs. Creepy?
