How can I help my cats adjust to a new environment easily?
Had my two cats for 3 years, and they've lived in the same apartment with me for as long as I had them. I am buying a townhouse soon, which means we will be moving in a new place. I am afraid my cats will become angry with me for taking them out of their comfortable environment. How do you suggest I make the move easy for my cats? I want them to like our new home, but I don't want to stress them out or really upset them. Are cats resiliant or will the move be hard on them?

- I'd suggest starting out by keeping them in one room. If they have the run of the house it may get overwhelming to them since the place is unfamiliar. They'll probably hide out and be very difficult to find. Put them in a quiet bedroom or bathroom where they can stay all day and check in on them often so you can give them love and see how they are handling it. Once they seem to be acting like themselves, give them some more room to explore. From my experience, cats get overwhelmed with the unknown surroundings, and the less you show them at once, the better. And of course, shower them with love and affection, like always.
- i don't know if you are moving in kennels are without kennels i moved my in kennels input my three kennels in our new house and i let them out 4 10 Min's in each room in house, in about a day i will say it will take email me back if like my answer
- they will hate the drive the most. give them things to sleep on now, such as pillows, pet beds, etc. when you move place those things around the new home and they will smell their own scent on those items. This will let them feel more comfortable in a new environment.
