i am looking for a dog. i am looking all around, but i just dont know what to get. so, just tell me your fav. dog breed and why, but one condition, it has to be a small dog PLZ!!!

i recommend a bichon frise they r the best and my mom loves shit-zus
go to petfinder.com and search for small dogs-these are all dogs that need homes-therefore you won't be padding the pockets of unresponsible breeders. Tiny dogs are the hot commodity at puppymills currently. They are over-priced for the quality of dogs being bred. Do not buy from a pet store. If you find a breeder be very picky and a good breeder will be even more concerned about where their pups are going. Do your homework.
MY FAVORITE IS THE GERMAN SHEPHERD BUT AS A CLOSE SECOND I REALLY LIKE MINIATURE LONG HAIRED DACHSHUND. THE REASON IS BECAUSE THEY KEEP YOU LAUGHING AND THEY ARE HARDY LITTLE DOGS IF YOU WANT TO GO FOR A WALK THEY WILL WALK FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT(FULL GROWN) BUT THEY ARE JUST AS HAPPY TO SIT ON YOUR LAP AND CUDDLE ALL DAY. THEY ARE VERY FOOD MOTIVATED WHICH MAKES TRAINING THEM AN EASY JOB JUST BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THEY REALLY LIKE TO EAT AND THEY HAVE A TENDENCY TO BECOME OVERWEIGHT. THE MINIATURE LONG-HAIRED DOXIE IS VERY PRETTY AND ELEGANT LOOKING AND THEIR WEIGHT IS BETWEEN 7 AND 11LBS. IT IS SAID THAT DOXIES ARE LIKE POTATO CHIPS ONCE YOU START YOU CAN'T HAVE JUST ONE.
it really depends. alot of small dogs need grooming, which is $35 or more, and they need it at least once a month, not to mention they have to be brushed at least everyother day unless you keep them short. all breeds of dogs are great, he best idea is to rescue one. puppies need to be taken out every hour or they will not learn to go outside. dogs cost alot of money so make sure you are ready, and they live at least ten years sometimes 15 or more. after you buy the dog, there shots, clearing up any illnesses, spay/neutering, deworming twice ayear. testing for heartworms then monthly heartworm prevention you have to pay for, flea and tick control, food( dont buy cheap corn based food), toys, treats,bones, small dogs are very prone to teeth problems and need their teeth cleaned once a year which is at least $150+, grooming, boarding when you go out of town, medications, training. they are very expensive, not to mention if you are working full time or going to school what is your dog going to do all day, go crazy from being bored staring at the wall , and go eat your shoes or develop behavoiral issues. dogs are great but too many people get them then dont have enough money or time. and they say " my dogs sick i cant afford to take it to the vet and spend a couple hundred dollars what should i do?" or "my dog is so hyper and jumps all over people why?" because he sits in the backyard and never uses his brain or gets exercise and hes going psycho.
I PREFER PUGS. THEY LOVE THEIR HUMANS. THEY WANT TO BE WITH YOU REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE. THEY ARE CUTE, LOVEABLE, GET ALONG WELL WITH OTHER ANIMALS, AFFECTIONATE, JUST GREAT DOGS. THEY DO SNORE ALOT THOUGH. AND IF YOU ARE GONE ALOT PLEASE DON'T GET ONE. THE WORSE THING YOU CAN DO TO A PUG IS IGNORE IT. HOPE YOU FIND WHAT YOU WANT.
You can't go past a Whippet or a Jack Russell Whippets are so gentle and loving, but watch them if you take them out in the bush they love to hunt. Jack Russells are real fun dogs, would be in anything, also good for catching mice and rats.
BORDER COLLIES. Hands down best dog breed ever. I have one and I never want another breed of dog because she is so smart. If the parents are smaller Border Collies then there is a high chance the pups will be too. They are very athletic and incredibly loyal. They are terrific buds and are phenominal family pets. My dog was so easy to train. I have taught her to do everything from run shuttle runs to jumping over 5 feet over jumps. She is super smart and gorgous. Oh my are they beautiful dogs. I have had soooo many people tell me she is the prettiest dog they have ever seen, and I haven't met any one who doesn't like them. My uncle just got a Border Collie pup (his first bc) and he said he to would never go back to anyother breed. They are truely amazing dogs!!!
Mini Schnauzer, They are the most adorable, they don't shed, and they are so loveable and tame. They are the most loyal dogs.
I have not had much experience with small dogs but we do have one and we love her to death.She is part mini jackrussell and part mini dioxin.she can bark a lot at times but other than that she has be a good one.
A CHIHUAHUA! I FEEL MY PET CHIHUAHUA (MALE, NAME: SKEETER) IS JUST THE RIGHT SIZE, HE WEIGHS ABOUT 13-15 LBS. THAT IS VERY OBESE FOR A CHIHUAHUA, HE IS BIG BONED I'LL GIVE HIM THAT LOL ALSO A CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL OR MINIATURE SCHNAUZER THESE DOGS ARE BOTH 15-20 POUNDS ON AVERAGE PERFECT SIZE FOR PICKING UP AND TOTEING AROUND AND RUNNING THROUGH THE PARK MY TOP CHOICES: CHIHUAHUA MINIATURE SCHNUAZER CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL SHIH-TZU MINATURE-DOXEN MUTTS ALOT OF THE TIME THEY MAKE THE BEST PETS!!!
