  1. ALL DOGS SHED. There is no escape!! And don't get the idea that if you have a short haired dog it will shed less. It just isn't true! But I've heard of this thing called the FURminator which is suppose to be really good at helping shedding. {{...*Spontania*...}}
  2. Papillion
  3. I believe all dogs shed, but beagles shed very little. They just need a quick little brush daily.
  4. yorkie terrier you just have to take it to the groomers
  5. Poodles and most hybrids mixed with poodle shed very very little. I have a cocker spaniel/poodle mix, and I brush her each evening, that is the only time hair/fur comes out. She doesn't leave hair/fur on the furniture, clothes ect. Also, bichon frise is very much the same.
  6. Poodles and most poodle crosses
  7. go for a short haired dog, where all its just peach fuzz, which means not much brushing or washing, and when they do get wet doesnt stink as much and the dry quick, AND you dont have to shave them in the summer if you live in a hot area like i do, plus, their is short hair there so you dont have to stare at a naked dog
  8. Hi there. The person was somewhat wrong who answered before. There are dogs that are considered Hypoallergenic dogs. Some dogs that would fall in this category are poodles and Shitzus. These dogs are great for people who are allergic to regular dog dander. Dogs like the Shitzu and poodle breeds actually have hair not fur. They shed very little, similar to humans. I have heard that dogs like labra-doodles and golden-doodles have the same hair as poodles. Do your research on dogs that do not affect people with allergies and you will find dogs that do not have the same coat as a typical dog and actually do shed much less. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
  9. Brussels Griffons are small dogs that do not shed AT ALL. I have a male and he is the best, sweetest dog in the world. If you do not know what kind of dog this is it is the dog from the movie, "As Good as it Gets" ...please look into these little dogs...they are just as entertaining and funny as they are cute and playful. plus a guarantee on NO shedding.
  10. whoever said beagles don't is WRONG, we have one, and believe me, she leaves a hairy black trail behind her, lol! I used to babysit a girl who had asthma, very badly, but she LOVED animals. Her Dr. told her to get chihuahuas. Evidently they don't shed as much or have as dander or something. She now has 2 in the house that sleep with her in the bed, and she is fine with them. They even had a couple litters of puppies and with 7 dogs total in the house it still never set her off, and this was a child who could get within 6 feet of a cat or dog and have her airways swell up....maybe that would be worth looking into!
  11. ALL dogs with hair shed.. If you want non-shedding.. go hairless. Hairless do have special skin care tho.. which can take up more time than grooming. Most of the "low shed" breeds are ones with long coats that require grooming.
  12. Hot dogs and Devil Dogs. But I always enjoy grooming my hot dog whenever I get a chance. Why just the other day I dressed my hot dog up as a Reuben Dog to see if I could trick myself into believing it wasn't just another ordinary dog, but it still shed sauerkraut all over me when I tried to pick it up and bite it. It was a pretty cheesy and hairy experience, I know... but sometimes I cannot help myself. Oh I know, how bout a Daschund? You can call him Frank, Nathan or Oscar. Or get a Chiuaua and call him Hercules or Mr. T and get him lots of bling bling. Or maybe just check out your nearest ASPCA first and see who you might find waiting there for you to adopt them?
