  1. never chicken...
  2. Chicken bones are probably the worst thing to give your dog. They can cause damage just about anywhere in the digestive system and cause internal bleeding and worse. Just get safe treats from the pet store and you won't have to worry about it.
  3. Raw bones are fine. Supervise the dog to make sure that he/she actually chews the bone and doesn't try to swallow the thing whole. Do not give your dog cooked bones, it doesn't matter what size the dog is.
  4. You can feed chicken, but it cannot be cooked. If its cooked then the bone splits and can tear up their throat. But uncooked is fine. Thats what I feed my ferrets and our small dog
  5. Ok i have 2 small dogs too minnie dachshunds and we give them bone all the time the only propmblom is u have to watch them because the are small they could choke easialy so dont let them have it while u are not hom and also dont let them have it while u or they sleep they could get hurt or something else might happen so u just want to be careful but yea other wise its safe.
  6. yes to bone. dont have the bone to cook or it could hurt your dog... no chicken bone those are to small.... but steak you can and pork... dont give it to them if it small small bones.
  7. No never. Any food bones from people is not good because they will give the dog splinters in there belly and then you have to take them to vet. This happened to my grandmas dog. Or sometimes they could die from internal bleeding. But if you wanna give your dog a bone they have rahide bones at the store made for dogs. It is not good to give them to ur dog every day but it helps clean there teeth and gives them some thing to chew on and completely harmless.
  8. Any dog can get bones, its fine so long as they are RAW bones. The best raw bones, for small dogs, youll want to stick to chicken, some pork, turkey, duck, etc anything larger and it might break their teeth. If it has alot of meat on the bone, some beef, but only until the meat is gone...so if you want to give the dog a whole steak, then by all means, if its just the bone tho, no. Because, if they chew on the bones of the larger mammals, like cows, deer, etc...it can break their teeth, or wear them down. The reason they need to be raw is that the cooking process will dehydrate the bone (meaning removes all the moisture) and this makes the bone brittle and it can splinter and may harm the dog. Its spelled Pomeranian, by the way. ;-)
  9. Small dogs can eat raw bones (not cooked) as long as they are not weight bearing bones of large animals like femurs or knuckles. rawfed.com
  10. yes, Yes, YES!!!! As long as they are RAW. Smaller dogs have notoriously bad teeth so it is vital to look after them. ALL dogs need bones as an essential source of accessible calcium and to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Think of the bones as a meal rather than a treat and make sure that the bone is really meaty. The meat acts like dental floss and cleans between the teeth and massages the gums while the edible bone scrapes the teeth clean. A perfect size for your dogs would be a chicken drumstick. You may need to shred or slice the meat to get them started but once they get the hang of it they'll be fine. PLEASE read the myths link - it will put answer all your questions
  11. Never give a dog cooked bones. Raw chicken and beef bones are perfectly OK. Wolves eat birds. Dogs are basically domesticated wolves. If a wolf can eat it then a dog can eat it.
  12. bones that are bigger than the head and is not cooked. chicken bones are a bad idea buddy
