Have you heard the saying "dogs have masters & cats have staff?

I'm afraid that in my household both my dogs & cats have staff Are you the master in your house or are you the staff

  1. Neither. I'm their servant. Oh, I hear the bell ringing, be back in a jiffy. & yes, I've heard the quote before. It's very cute.
  2. I'm the pack leader, but my wife can't get them to listen to her lol
  3. Yes I have heard of this... I love it! I'm the master in my house...
  4. I kind of think I act like the loving grandmother type (even though Im young ;) ). I spoil them and wait on them and shower them with kisses and hugs and cuddles, but at the same time I am firm with them and they know what is expected of them and what is allowed and not allowed.
  5. Absolutely. I have heard that women tend to like cats because "they are independent, etc etc." GACK! They have never met my WIFE'S cats. They are the neediest, most high maintenance PITA I have ever seen. Good thing they catch rodents because, now that we have nylon, we really don't need cats for much anymore... :-) Dogs rool! Cats drool! Gotta go. Cat needs out... again... :(
  6. yes, I've had both dogs and cats and I think the "staff" part applies to my snake too(ball python). He always gets dinner delivered in a take out container. He doesn't lift a scale to clean out his own cage and he enjoys sucking all the heat out of my neck. Although I can't complain too much. He doesn't need to be walked, hes not noisy, doesn't stink and he only gets fed 1-2 times a month.
  7. yes
  8. I have a dog, but my kind daughter mostly cares for her(feeding etc) I guess your dogs must be spoilt!
  9. Yes, I believe the cats version, but not the dogs.
