Dyson Vacuum Cleaners are they any good if you have Dogs & Cats?

Looking for a vaccum cleaner that really works have Dogs & Cats wondering if Dyson Animal is good sure is pricey?Hope this is not considered spam not really sure what spam is old self taught computer user.

1. I bought one at Sears (not the animal, the DC14). It is amazing what it picks up. The only negative is that it is hard to use the hose attachments.
2. I have Oreck, the upright and hand held package. I used to have a husky mix dog with that dense wolf undercoat that shed constantly, and rabbits (lots of shedding fur) and birds (feathers, feather dust, seed hulls). I couldn't have lived -- or gotten my security deposits back -- with any other vacuum. (BTW, my husky mix had to be euthanized at 17, I didn't want anyone to think I gave up a pet because of fur all over.)
