How many legs do cows, dogs, cats, goats, tigers, elephants have?
How many legs do cows, dogs, cats, goats, tigers, elephants have? We had a debate among ourselves. One group claims that they dont have any hands at all. The other says the forelimbs are hands. What U people think.

- well-- none of them have hands--they have paws or hoofs on their "forelegs". however---they all have 4 legs, which is what your orginal question is.
- Well, they all have 4 legs and no hands. Calling their hooves/paws hands would imply the dexterity that great apes and humans have. All of these animals lack that dexterity and therefore do NOT have hands.
- They have four legs!
- All 4 legged animals use their front legs as we would arms. it is a debate i have had with people, i think their forelimbs are "arms" but that they use those and their back legs to walk etc where as we walk upright on legs. lol. like rabbits cats eg, they use their forelimbs to wash etc like we do, as do tigers. will be interesting to see what other people think.
- they each have 4 apendages
- I think dogs, cats, and tigers have "hands" in a fashion, because they will all use the paws on their forelegs the same way we do our own hands. That is, they will hold stuff with them while they chew on it, use them to groom and wash themselves, etc. Cows and goats only have hooves, so no "finger-like" structures to let them use them as we would hands. Elephants are a different story altogether - their foot structure is such that they are actually walking on the bones that, in us, would be the equivalent of tippy toes. However, since I have never seen nor heard of an elephant using it's front feet as paws or hands, I'll say they have no hands, either (besides, isn't that what they use their trunks for?). Hope this helps.
- they all have 4 LEGS, which is why they dont have hands because hands are on your arms, they either have Hooves or Paws no Hands
- O.K. you already know they all have four legs which is what they are called. If you want to add to the debate though, horses have their legs in front and their "arms" in back if you are saying what I think you're saying. A horse's back legs bend like our elbows do and are called hocks. The elephant is the only animal with four knees. Crazy subject for a debate, but funny!
