- well, shes 3 months old, so your patience has to outlast hers. she also has to be *gradually* introduced to working around distractions. in the meantime, make listening to you worth her while. keep her on a leash, and ask for a simple command (like sit, watch, shake paw, whatever), and if she complies, use playtime with the other dog as her reward. as the weeks go on, require more and more responses (like a sit, down, watch, AND shake) before she gets to play with the other dog. this requires your patience because you can NOT give into her demands...meaning, if you ask her to sit, and instead she whines and pulls to get at the puppy, dont give up/in and let her go play. keep her with you on the leash and WAIT IT OUT. if you start giving in, she will respond to you less and less. i would also recommend clicker training so that it is crystal clear that she has completed what you want from her and she has earned her reward.
- Pit Bulls are a very friendly and playful breed regardless of what some people say. I have a two year old, when he is around me or my family he is fine but when he is around other people or dogs all he wants to do is play. It is very hard to get them out of that state of mind.
