Public Comments

  1. two or three months
  2. they usually last about 3 to four months ... but just in case go to a veterans Hospital to get her checked!
  3. It's usually 63 days. They should be here very soon now. It can be anywhere between 56 to 72 days, though, so don't panic.
  4. 57-63 days or so. Wait another day or two, then take her to the vet.
  5. Don't you mean months?
  6. Same as the last time you asked this question: 60-65 days. DO you have a Bulldog AND a Pit Bull? Keep watching her and if there's nothing by tomorrow, a vet visit is in order. As soon as the dog is strong enough, get her spayed. And be sure that the pups go with spay/neuter contracts. I've seen estimates of as high as ONE MILLION pits being killed in shelters each year. Don't allow more pits to come into this world without a VERY GOOD REASON. http://www.pbrc.net/breeding3.html
  7. 63 give a day or 2 regardless of breed. get her checked tomorrow just to be sure theres no problems. check her throughout the night aswell now. dogs can be quite good at hiding early signs of labour
  8. Dogs can be pregnant anywhere from 58 to 69 days. The average gestation period is 63 days. Are you sure of the breeding date to come up with the 64 days? If a planned breeding was there more than one breeding date? Have you checked her temperature? As she nears labor her temperature should drop a little from her normal. Contact your veterinarian within the next day or 2 if she still doesn't show any signs of labor. Good Luck
  9. The average dog has a pregnancy that lasts from 57 to 63 days. If you have not yet taken her to the vet, you should do so now. You will have to take her again a couple of weeks before she delivers her litter. Also, during this time, make sure that you don't treat her with any flea meds or give her any other meds unless your vet has given her something that is safe for a pregnant dog. You should be able to tell when she is going to go into labor by checking her temp. The last two weeks of her pregnancy, take her temp a couple of times a day. When her temp drops below 99F, she is within a day or so of having her pups. She will probably be fairly restless and will start looking for somewhere to have them (so you should already have a whelping area set up for her so she can get used to it).
  10. about 63 days, so any day now... InFo PLEASE! Where are you from? What are the bloodlines? Can I help you to create contracts to protect the puppies and yourself from potential abandonment or litigation? I breed pit bulls and as pit bull breeders we MUST take action to protect our breed, our puppies, and ourselves. Forget the rotten answers you get, many people here are anti-breeding (but pro dog, however that works... count my thumbs down for saying that!). I have some experience here and I can help you protect your investment! Congrats, but be smart about this! I can tell you horror stories about breeders who let the pups go only for them to be abused or abandoned and YOU are the best person to prevent this! God bless!
  11. 63 days from conception, not breeding. You can give or take several days if counting from the breeding date. As long as she is eating and drinking she's fine.
  12. A female is pregnant anywhere from 56 to 70 days from the day she was bred. If you don't know the day she was bred (in this case you should if you are breeding for betterment of the line) then there is a chance she is just right on schedule. Don't panic, as long as she is sleeping and isn't panting or in pain, she will be fine. If she hasn't had them in 6 days, take her to the vet to be sure it isn't a false pregnancy. Is she producing milk yet? If she is, then anytime in the next five days is when she will have them. If she is carrying them high and then suddenly drops then she should start having them withing 48 hours. As it gets closer to the time to have them, you will notice that she is extremely restless and panting even though she isn't really hot. At that point, you should start making her comfortable in her whelping box (of which you should make one ASAP for her to "nest" in.) Keep some supplies handy to help with the whelping process such as a pair of scissors, and towels for to dry the puppies off with. The scissors are for cutting the umblical cord. The main thing is just to keep her calm and keep the area around her quiet ( ie no loud music or tv or other dogs and preferable no other people in the room with her). I hope this helps, and just look forward for the puppies to be born. She is just resting now for her big day.
