- Pug or a Whippet. Or better yet, visit you local shelter for a loveable mutt! Chihuahus are cute but some can be carpet sharks.
- chihuhuas are soo cute and awesome also shitzuhs are also cute good luck with your new puppy!!!
- Mini dachshunds. I love my lil guy!
- One of the coolest dogs I've ever had is a West Highland Terrier. As a younger puppy, she was awesome! Sweet as sugar. Always loving, licking and nuzzling against you, and when you wanted her to relax on your lap, she would always comply. I once brought her into work and she laid on my lap the entire time, noone knew she was there!! I really like this breed. They're also supposed to be very smart. She definitely is. She fetches, and is about 85% potty-trained...we're working on that still! I've talked to others who have owned Westies and they always have the same positive things to say about these dogs. To this day, she is about 9 months, she is very very sweet and loving! Good luck!!!
- I've got a Shih-Tzu. They are adorable, if you'd like to see pictures of him check out my myspace page. myspace.com/sandralaw I too live in a condo/apartment on the 2nd floor. Shih-tzu's can get to be 10 to 15 pounds full grown. They are also nonallergenic so people who are allergic to animals will not be allergic to them. They have great personalities and I've trained mine to go outside on the desk and pee on a pad. What ever you pick, just make sure your ready for the commitment. They aren't like a cat where you can leave them home over night by themselves. They are worth it though
- I suggest going to a shelter and talking to the staff about what you need and want in a dog, then picking an adult. Puppies, bless their hearts, are a ton of work, especially for first-time dog owners, and adult dogs are plenty of work in and of themselves! Toy breeds, most terriers, and various other breeds in sporting, non-sporting, hound, and herding groups stay small. Take some breed selectors to get you thinking about energy level and such. http://www.petfinder.com/ is a great place to look to see what's around you in shelters. Some shelters don't list all their dogs, so have a visit!
- I have a bunch of Chihuahuas. They are a good little dog. They are cute little guys, very smart and are very possessive. They don't like ANYBODY fooling round with or even NEAR their human. AT ALL.
- maltese
- Beagle Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Chihuahua Pomeranian Shih Tzu Shetland Sheepdog Italian Greyhound Bichon Frise Toy or Miniature Poodle Miniature Schnauzer Pug Boston Terrier Cocker Spaniel And,of course, all of those wonderful mutts( and purebreds) at your local shelter. Also,if you don't want to go through the puppy problems of chewing, housebreaking, and getting the dog spayed or neutered, then get an adult dog.
- A stuffed animal =) But sarcasm aside, It would be something like a toy chihuahua, or a miniature dachshund.
- miniture shnauzer(srry, dont know how to spell it) dashhund miniture dobermann
- Well if you are a busy person I do not recommend a puppy they need allot of excersize. A good small dog is a dachshund. I have two. They are really smart and LOVE PEOPLE! They are good with kids and come in two sizes Standard and miniature. They also come in three different coats short hair, longhair, and wire hair. I like the short hair best but that's just me. Oh and soo many different colors too! They live usually 12-15 years. They hardly shed and don't leave hair all around the place. You have to be care full of their backs since they have such long backs. They are cute and make GREAT pets.
