Animal shelters with small dogs near massapequa, long island?

I was just wondering if there were any good animal shelters with small sized dogs near massapequa, long island?

2. ww.petfinder.com. If you could stand to make the drive to Hartford, CT, the city shelter there has LOTS of small dogs- usually. No vet records on the dogs, they have been picked up as strays and such, but it's only $5 to adopt out of state. CALL beforehand- small dogs move quickly, sometimes there are none listed, but check back! Dogs have 10 days to be adopted/claimed or are put down- so you really would be saving a life!

4. North Shore Animal league...it's where i got my Black lab. They have ALL kinds of dogs...big ones, small ones, cute ones, not so cute ones...you name it they got it...and they are really close to where you live!! Give them a try.
