how do I keep small animals out of my yard and out of my dogs mouth?
I have 2 huskies with a six foot fence around my back yard. In the last week I have removed a racoon, small dog, ( complete with colar) and a rabbit. The dogs are not tearing them up, just killing them. How else can I keep helpless animals out?

- Put a fence. durf
- have you tried lining the fence with chicken wire? i think that would work... for some of the animals anyway.
- must be a hole somewhere... it is natural tho...
- wow they killed a pet? i dunno i guess keep your dogs inside, or get a medication to calm them down
- Try checking the yard before letting your dogs out. Remove the animals and let your dogs out for a short period of time ( so they can tinkle and play ) and then bring them back in. Do this daily for the saftey of others.
- shave them!!!!
- Well I would make sure there are no holes in the fence. Then find out where those helpless animals are coming from. The after you have done that. Fix the place where the animals are coming from. Then I would go to the pet store and ask for green apple sour spray for dogs. Then spray it in to your dogs mouth every time your dog does something wrong. I have 7 dogs 2 of them our Huskies. And that spray is recommed by 4 out of 5 vets. It also helps when you have a puppy and it start to chew up things.
- The dogs are bored. 2 a pack make. We have dogs from orchardists or unthinking owners running around in the foothills killing deer (similiar to a wolf pack in mentality). You could try to seperate the two dogs from each other. Another fence down the middle,or always have one tied up/ or you could try training the dogs not to do that anymore. > You can't teach the wild creatures, so you have to do it to what you do have control over - your dogs<. Or muzzle them. And give them verbal hell when you do find dead bodies in the yard. Someday it will be a kid in there and you don't want that. YOU will be put down.
- See u fence is there any way the small animal will find their way in, if there is fix it and, each time u see them killing small animal, muzzled up yr dogs show the the dead animal and tell them no no, and time when by they will learn that ever time it killed something it will be muzzled up.kept on telling them no no, dogs are smart they will fast, they killed they got muzzled up. this may not be the best answer, i do hope i can help.
- Put something like hardware cloth or chicken wire around the bottom of the fence or use a tighter chain link fence and get those dogs trained and neutered or get rid of them. A dog which has killed more than once is legally classified as a vicious dog. That makes you legally liable for what the dog does even to something that comes into its yard. What if it were a small child. I hate the thought of putting any animal down but I hate the sight of a mauled or a dead child worse.
- awwww u have huskies? i love those kind of dogs anyway there might be a hole somewhere in your fence check it out if not make your fence STRONGER so those animals would be looking at a brick wall lol! if that doesn't work try setting up some traps but try not to let your dogs near!
- well huskies aren't very good with small animals, but i trained my dog to stay away from small animals and now he will guard rabbits and such
