Boxer dogs?

Is it true boxer dogs are born with half a brain and that only works half of the time? My boxer pup is a cracker but is so stupid at times

1. never met a smart one, but they are adorable for it, that gomless look they give at everything. great. I want one but I haven't the room at the min
2. We had a Boxer and he was the most placid dog you could have They say they have half a brain bacause of its shape.
3. No - he is a pup, and acts as a pup. You will be amazed at how smart he is as an adult - providing you enroll in a class & practice obedience. Boxers are used as guide dogs for the blind, and police dogs - not jobs for 'stupid' breeds. A dog is a reflection of his owner - make the effort.
4. Boxers have a brain like any other dog. They aren't stupid! I worked with one in a training class, he was very sharp, and he was deaf! They are great family dogs, they just have a LOT of energy so make sure you train him and exercise him plenty.

6. How cute! Boxers are adorable. Prone to cancers and allergies. Like all puppies, make you laugh. As far as half a brain, etc., hope your only kidding there. Of coarse they have a full brain, it just needs to grow and to be stimulated and the pup needs to learn to make it work better. have fun, I bet the pups adorable!
7. Dogs are kind of like humans we have our smart times and our dumb times. All dogs are different because some kinds are stupider than others like a poodle is the smartest of all.

12. um no not at all. Some dogs can be goofy, and puppies in general can often be as they simply don't know better. If it only had half a brain that only worked half the time it would be dead.
13. These dogs look great and they have a unique sense of humour. I know what you mean - They can be crazy. Truly mad! But that's whats so great about them. They are full of energy and need tons of exercise. They are smart dogs though and have proven themselves in Agility training and have worked for the police and even has blind dogs. You have a great pup - Probably Mad but great!
14. I started training mine as soon as i got him home.. .so smart! but so clumsy at times!! he walks into walls,falls over! funniest ever!! i think you could have a point about the half brain thing... it all makes sence now!

16. i dont think boxers are born with half a brain but what brains they do have they only use them half the time. it might take you a bit longer training it as thier brains are not properly formed untill thier about 3 years old this is why they act so dumb i have a 2 year old boxer and a 14 week old boxer
