Taking Yorkie puppies camping? My Yorkie just had a litter of puppies they are now two weeks old. When they are four weeks old we will be going camping and we can't find anyone we trust to watch them. Is it safe to take them up to the mountains that young? We're from a small town so our vet doesn't board and we can't leave them at a kennel because they have to have shots first and they are too young for that. They won't have to do any hiking, we drive up the mountain, we have a large cage they would be in. I just worry about it getting too cold or them catching something up there. Yes, we have family here, but they have so many animals that I don't think the mother dog would be comfortable, and their home is not so clean. The puppies could easily catch something.
